Visitor Parking will be available in the Standard Parking (Sound Parking is in the process of changing their name) lot at 9th and Republican. Visitors meeting the following criteria can park in this lot:

(1) Vehicles with valid UW or HMC parking permits, daily or monthly. There is one exception; vehicles with SLU parking permits should use the lot behind the Rosen Building.

(2) Vehicles already in possession of a parking coupon. Upon return to their vehicle, if the car has been issued a ticket, place the parking coupon in the ticket envelope and insert this envelope into the parking fee collection box. If the car has not been issued a ticket, insert the parking coupon into the parking fee collection box noting the parking space on the back of the coupon.

Visitors who do not have a parking coupon can be issued one by checking in at the front desk. Visitors will be screened for the above conditions. If they do not meet any of these criteria, their sponsor will be contacted for a budget number to cover the cost of their parking coupon ($5). Upon return to their vehicle, if the car has been issued a ticket, they will place the parking coupon in the ticket envelope and insert this envelope into the parking fee collection box. If the car has not been issued a ticket, they will insert the parking coupon into the parking fee collection box noting the parking space on the back of the coupon.

Parking coupons can be purchased in advance from Jessamine Joco in the Dean's office using a UW budget number.

(3) Vehicles without UW or HMC parking permits and without a parking coupon, can park on the street at no cost or in the lot behind Rosen for $4 per day.

DISABILITY PARKING FOR VISITORS

There are six disability parking spaces in the lot at 8th and Mercer. There are an additional three spaces in the middle of that lot and several more in the lots at 9th and Republican and behind Rosen. Vehicles using disability parking need to follow the same guidelines as noted above. All vehicles parked in disability parking spaces also need to display a state-issued or UW-issued disability permit.
