The GCRC Pilot & Feasibility Grant is designed to facilitate career development in
clinical research. The grants are open to young investigators or, exceptionally, established
investigators proposing a new direction in their clinical research. Up to three pilot
projects will be funded for one year each at a maximum budget of $25,000 each (one
Adult unit award, one Pediatric unit award,
and one Biotherapeutics award). Special consideration will be given to
first-time applications to use the
Biotherapeutics Production Facility. All applications will undergo
scientific peer review.
Note: Applications do not need to be submitted to
the UW Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) or Grants and Contracts Accounting (GCA).
The Pilot & Feasibility award is in addition to standard Clinical Research Center
support that will be granted on successful completion of the regular GCRC or Pediatric
CRC application (more information here). If you are unfamiliar
with the GCRC, we highly recommend that you browse the website and contact one of the people
listed in the table below for more information.
