Grant Preparation Mentoring Program for Clinically Oriented "K" Awards
Advances in medical research will only continue to impact human disease if young investigators
are able make the commitment to remain in research oriented careers. Our junior faculty and
clinical fellows are critical to the clinical research enterprise.
The GCRC is committed to helping young investigators who are submitting clinically oriented K
awards to NIH, especially to NCRR. To qualify for our mentoring program
your project must utilize GCRC services in some way.

- Establishing a grant writing committee of NIH funded senior faculty who will work with you on the proposal
- Statistical support in clinical trial design and assessment
- In depth assistance in preparing your application to utilize the GCRC for your studies
- Letter of support from GCRC leadership for your proposal

We accept applications into the program on a first come, first served basis. For an

or Associate Program Director, D. Scott Weigle, M.D..

- February 2-16: For JUNE 1 deadline
- June 2-16: For OCTOBER 1 deadline
- October 2-16: For FEBRUARY 1 deadline
Applicants will not be accepted after the deadlines stated above.
